#FALSEHOOD
William Shenstone said this in the 1700s. Fits our times rather well.

Flat out lie. Complete falsehood.

All hell is about to be unleashed on people utterly unprepared to discern truth from falsehood.
I told OpenAI's Sora to make a video showing "Body cam footage of cops arresting a dark skinned man in a department store." It took less than a minute.

Defund corporations that push consumer-facing "A.i." Zero government contracts. Extreme, business-destroying penalties for disinformation, falsehood, and fraud.

oh word is Andrew Sullivan worried now that they've started going after legal status obtained through "falsehood"
SULLIVAN: “I do not care about the economy if the government claims it can break down anyone's doors, seize anyone with no due process, put them on a plane, and send them to a foreign jail… that is fundamental to this country.” 🇺🇸

This incredible falsehood deserves a defamation suit. What a truly unhinged lie, trying to terrify people away from a safe, beneficial, and widely-used medical product.
WHAT -- Rep. Lisa McClain totally makes shit up, claims "82% of women who got the vaccine in their first or second trimester had a miscarriage"

No Harm?

A falsehood void of name
Remains a lie the same,
And told too well, brings shame.

A charge’s fictive ground
Does not excuse the sound
Of falsehood newly found.

falsehood that's easy to conspiracize: no murderer could evade justice this long when a manhunt is underway

truth that's harder to accept: the police are generally bad at their jobs

"citing a falsehood" is also known as "lying."
“I would also note that under Barack Obama, 197 general officers were removed,” Mr. Hegseth said in testimony before the House Armed Services Committee. “So this is not something specific to this administration.”

The number Mr. Hegseth gave has no basis in fact.

People will still be passing around this falsehood as gospel truth when I'm on my deathbed
Every now and then I remember Tim Walz’s “they’re weird” campaign and how close the dems were to actually shifting the way people perceive the right in a very real way and then they just…stopped

I think Smith could successfully sue Schmitt for defamation now, since he's restating the falsehood outside of the Senate hearing, and by this point he clearly knows what he's saying is false
Eric Schmitt is on The Charlie Kirk Show (yes it's still called that) -- and believe it or not, hosts are pretending he owned Smith with his embarrassingly botched gotcha

"You caught him in this NBA game too in Atlanta"

"Yeah," Schmitt says

There's no mention that Schmitt had all his facts wrong
