I asked: The house in the story is NOT the house of abandoned Christmas tree fame.

"He'll go back for the Hall of Fame."

THAT'S NOT EVEN A REAL THING

Caine is a good actor. He's provided me hours of great entertainment. I don't look to him, or any famous actor, for life advice or wisdom.

Mostly, famous actors, who are excellent at their craft, aren't any better than us at anything else. And their wealth and fame skew their perspectives.

@flavorflav.bsky.social we are calling them the #cornellrapists. Just calling them the 7 could immortalize and attach fame to a horrendous crime of sexual assault. We as humans need to do better. Rape is shameful and the Rapiste should carry the burden of the word wherever they go

#Backpack is the BIG winner of this year’s #FatBearWeek competition! But the road to fame wasn’t easy. When Backpack was just a pudgy prodigy, he had a serious leg injury. His mom helped him survive by carrying him on her back. 🐻

Once they are famous they begin to equate their fame with God's glory and thus begin to see their success as required for God to succeed.

(Same thing happens with institutions)

Agreed.

To become rich or famous often requires people to compromise their values in small ways (at first).

This is because it often requires them to say "look at me" rather than "look at Christ". Which then slowly changes how they percieve themselves. (Before during or after achieving fame)

He got to pivot.

She fought to be heard by Title IX. If she had more than one semester left? She had to go to school knowing he was there, if she could bring herself to stay.

She was the one who had to work through his actions. Risking seeing him every day as his fame grew.

And he got to pivot.

Over the past few years I became disillusioned with and more critical of his work, thinking he'd become more shallow, or revealed an existing shallowness. Hard not to attach that feeling to the fact that he's the kind of guy who pursued fame while imagining his Title IX will never catch up with him.

The thing about nepo babies is that every single person who has achieved fame in media got lucky. Some of that luck was pre-natal, some of it came later. But there's just too many people who want to be famous and too few people who can be famous. Hard work alone is not enough to beat those odds.
