definitely not a good entry point, complex and unlike anything else in the series aside from three houses (I’d recommend fe7, 8, or awakening)
however if someone’s only played 3 houses fw is perfect to play next

FE7 and Awakening are usually my go to's for that. Shame Awakening isn't more accessible.
Three Houses is a decent starting point too I think.
Engage would be one too if it wasn't specifically a title about legacy characters.

I agree! I remember playing a little bit of it on emulator after finishing FE7 and it really did feel rough in execution ngl

see the thing about fe7 is that when i played it i went out of my way to get ch22x and when i got there and saw the map i said oh i dont want to be here actually but it was too late and i couldnt go back so i just dropped the game :-)

Hector's the GOAT. Both as a character and unit. He's easily the best of the FE7 lord trio, even though that isn't saying much considering the other two are not that great gameplay wise.

Most of my friends whom I met through FE started on Awakening are also like this. Their specialty IS 3H, I mean it has great characters and lore, there's a reason why it's still discussed in great depth.

It is the first time in modern fire emblem that I feel I can recommend a modern fire emblem game to people new to the series, and not just tell them to go back and play fe7.
