Yeah, I saw FMA03 back in '05/'06 when I was in my early 20s as well. Fandom spaces seem to forever stay in their late teens/early 20s but we just get older, so the feeling of not fitting in is real. I do use discord, but I mainly use servers for gaming communities, not so much fandom ones.

AND I LIKE FMA03. BUT IT IS NOT THE BETTER ADAPTATION. You could argue that you think it’s a better story and that’s FINE but saying it’s the better adaptation is CRAZY

I would give fma03 a go but the problem is I'm mostly here for Roy Mustang and if he's not voiced by Shinichiro Miki it's going to make me very sad 😔

This was mostly an experiment with an aim to draw in the style of FMA03 (hit and miss, mainly the faces; official art has different proportions that I can't seem to do). It took way longer than I expected, mostly because I kept redoing the lines/shading and to see if matches FMA03 art somewhat.

Trying to emulate the style of FMA03. I don't really have a consistent style, but generally, this isn't how I draw at all, so I have to look at a bunch of official promo art for this. Roy's hair is still mystery to me.

It's been a long time since I rewatched FMA03, but it had an impact on me and I think of it fondly. 🩶 I also prefer the OP/ED songs the most from it! Maybe it's partly nostalgia, but just hit after hit.
