im probably taking at least 2 weeks of emergency FMLA because my mom offered to cover it when we talked about how my therapist thinks i am at risk of inpatient but (fantasizes about being able to do a month)

Well the $250 pre-op deposit for my foot turned into $430 thanks to additional fees for FMLA forms, copay, and recovery items. Good thing I had it. Too bad everything else financially is stressful and a fight for my life. But I have one more pre-op appt, then I'm good for surgery.

Day 13 b4 surgery: got my fmla paperwork submitted. Not much left to do other than pre-registering with the hospital on day 7 and picking up prescriptions for bowel prep for Day 1. Just trying to keep myself occupied and my skin in good condition in the meantime! Maybe clean the boat too! *wags*

They continue letting people go or quit without much replacing and it’s more on me. I’m not eating, not sleeping, and not seeing my kid with these 9-10 hour days. And FMLA is a fucking joke.

I have an appointment for a follow up heart MIR and a follow up appointment with cardiology and oh, and I was also diagnosed with a malignant carcinoid lung tumor that I need surgery for, but put it off hoping I could work for a year, have it covered by FMLA and STD. So that's not happening.

I know it's popular to shit on hr on social media but I'm begging ppl to go to hr and get FMLA if you'll be missing work due to medical reasons or even having a baby. FMLA protects your job and benefits up to 12 weeks

*I can feel the pump when I reach down to it. I can’t feel the reservoir in my abdomen nor the tubing in my shaft.
Overall, I’m super comfortable and very, VERY happy I had this done.
