since this is FMW I have to add:
- Alice's dolls can be used As Bombs
- Medicine, who is a doll, can use bombs

Don't worry guys it's ok
bad news for the transfeminine community

something i am very fond of in FMW and likely the rest of touhou as a whole is how they talk about the fairies. i think you all know why.

i wll do touhou sorter again after i finish FMW. and maybe i will catch up on lotus eaters (thats a big maybe)
October 30, 2026 at 11:31 PM
the deployment cost limit is the most difficult boss of FMW

Like the Horace Hogan five star match where dudes did an FMW walk ‘n’ brawl while a Hijo del Santo vs. Negro Casas singles match was in the ring.
Lol what if it's a Texas Death Match just between Hanger and Swerve while New Level and Brodido have a normal ass match. 🤼

THE FANS WONT DRAW IT SO FMW NEEDS TO SHOW ME

Atsushi Onita giving The Great Sasuke his shoulder following their Electric Current Explosion Death match, this past Sunday in Kawasaki. Today marks 32 years since their Barbed Wire timebomb double hell match, eternal flames indeed. #FMW #michipro

It's kind of amazing how many stand-out moments FMW has when I try to compare it to like, OG1 and 2

This design intent is even starker in the earlier iterations of FMW where for the harder enemies in the game the game wouldn't even tell you how much HP they have until they are near death. You just gotta keep hitting them as much as you can while avoiding dying.

It's kinda a different design space from fire emblem where usually you have to count on one-hit killing the enemy and so avoid taking retaliation. The FMW system is designed around boss fights where the assumption is that you can't take down the enemy and must eat the retaliation no matter what.

the silver-tongued Yukari who speaks in half-truths and white lies is like, barely present in FMW. she's probably there but she's so overshadowed by how easily wound up this portrayal of Yukari is. she's pissed off like all the time, she's easily upset, she takes everything very seriously.
October 31, 2026 at 5:23 PM
her ass was consistently top 3 in my FMW playthrough come to think of it, behind Reimu and Marisa respectively
October 28, 2026 at 5:25 PM
yeah def, FMW is reaally good at giving super close to canon reads and giving them more orthodox-style arcs
October 28, 2026 at 5:11 PM
It's so weird that she was pretty far from being a favorite while I was actually playing FMW but now she's like, the girl of all time to me. Not on an Utsuho/Satori level, but still!
October 30, 2026 at 1:55 PM
FMW being a celebration of core-touhou and having her motivation be to stop it from changing is just SO
October 30, 2026 at 7:38 PM
fun fact: when this was still a standalone game, the bonus objective was to make yuuka start doing spellcards within 4-5 turns, and with timed missions being the hardest part of FMW (other than the deployment cost limit), this was, as you would expect, messed up
