My review of the Fnirsi HS-02B soldering iron is now live on Tom's Hardware! It solders great, but the HS-02A tip selection is better than the HS-02B, go for the A, not the B. But, the B heats up to 360C in 3.6 seconds! The fastest soldering iron that I have ever tested!

My review of the Fnirsi HS-02B soldering iron is now live on Tom's Hardware! It solders great, but the HS-02A tip selection is better than the HS-02B, go for the A, not the B. But, the B heats up to 360C in 3.6 seconds! The fastest soldering iron that I have ever tested!

New tool day! A Fnirsi soldering iron (HS-02A). I wanted a Pinecil V2 for a long time but that and a set of tips was much more expensive. My TS-80 has served me well but I think I have a couple of jobs that need something more powerful.

Really wishing I had a scope that could connect directly to my computer rn...
Apparently there are some efforts to put custom fw on similar Fnirsi equipment, but (1) that's a bit too much of a side quest and (2) I can't even use the scope when it's charging, so not much hope to debug live with it.
