So, Env Canada is looking to discontinue #FOCN45, Significant Weather Discussion, issued by the Prairie & Arctic Storm Prediction Centre.
Perhaps if the disc was available on weather.gc.ca rather than random US wx pages it would get used more!

I sent my email a couple of days ago, and contacted broadcasters across the prairies to urge them to do the same. Fortunately, most of them are FOCN45 users, and had already sent their emails by the time I reached out.

@beth.bsky.social Have you seen this? Odd that they're trying this in winter when a lot of us aren't looking at it. Smells like an attempt at cuts. Basically, MSC is considering ending the FOCN45 CWWG bulletins which are incredibly useful. I'm sending an email; pls pass it on to other weather folks!
