#FPSVR
Wearing all of my VR HW at once, I need to have this software running before getting to VRChat:

- SteamVR
- FPSVR
- OVR AS
- VRCFT
- XR Game (Stretchsense Gloves)
- BHaptics Driver
- Babblonia (eye tracking)
- OSCGB
- Intiface Central
- Haptic Pancake Driver
- Gigglepuck Driver
- Bigscreen Driver

What my top played steam library looks like. :v

It's rare that I'm in with more than 6pt and face tracking, so the list is usually just FPSVR, OVR, VRCFT, Babblonia.

Friend released their overlay just yesterday, I'd really recommend taking a peek at it as it's literally free and more performant compared to FPSVR

Seamen Performance Overlay on Steam
Have you ever wondered how terrible (or good) your PC is at running VR? Well wonder no more! The Seamen Performance Overlay shows accurate real-time statistics of any VR game you play on SteamVR! Its ...

I want to add, everyone should get this:
store.steampowered.com/app/908520/f...

$4 addon. Gives you a detailed wrist overlay with your current performance, mainly GPU and CPU time in milliseconds.

Once you get used to it, it's VERY easy to identify what/who is causing performance issues.

The VR side-quest continues.

Installed OVR Advanced for better in-game positioning, fpsVR to track my system performance, and OVR Toolkit as my SteamVR overlay.

Added a chastity cage prop to lay over my sheathe prop.

I’m giving myself patch notes aren’t I.

Gah, I just found out that at some point, FPSVR stopped logging my sessions, so I can't see how much time I was online.

fuck how much playtime people have, how many frames did you drop tonight

I need a new computer lmao
August 10, 2025 at 8:11 AM
jokes aside my CPU must be a bottle cap of some kind because VR still can run like ass for no reason and fpsvr doesn't pick up nothin
January 12, 2025 at 8:41 AM
fpsVR added a feature that records statistics on CPU and GPU frametimes which is pretty cool

You can really see how GPU bottlenecked I am lol

Can always grab fpsVR and do casual checks whenever you notice fps drops.

download fpsVR and see if this is on the CPU or GPU

Same question I've had about fpsVR. I'm not big on first person shooters myself, but apparently it's a pretty big deal

I've tested with fpsVR in many places, I'm always GPU bound, rave worlds, exploratory and chill worlds. I believe it's due to having MUCH less bandwidth VRAM wise.

My VR overlay layout
People say it's too much

OVR Toolkit
fpsVR
VRCX
always visible Discord window

my setup can now run the beautiful but hilariously heavy japanese vrchat worlds at 90 fps

this will last for two months, then they'll get stronger

Is there an alternative to OVR Toolkit, fpsVR, and XSOverlay that isn't paid? I refuse to pay because it's basic shit that shouldn't be paid. Same kind of shit Apple app developers do, basic shit that arguably should be free is paid for some fucking reason

I'm gonna pop in with fpsvr next time and do some tests, all I can say at a glance is that the framerate stayed very comfortable in the little I've done so far at the default settings, although the environments are really bringing out the worst of wireless compression for me hehe

Is that with checking fpsVR?

Also, in this case, I was hiding very poor and most of them were impostors.

I think it'll highly depend on the conditions. Also if you're in a world with tons of VRSL and AreaLit, you'll be more GPU bound.

I personally aim for no more than 10 ms on GPU or CPU for any of my VR experiences (100 FPS; fpsVR is a great debug tool).

I take inventory of many worlds in my head and how they perform. I try to contextualize certain events I attend, taking into account avatars and world design.
