All Albertans deserve to live a life of dignity, respect and prosperity. Families with children with disabilities deserve no less, and FSCD must meet the need.

My many years of disability advocacy have highlighted the shocking disparities between provinces. Its been especially heartbreaking to watch the UCP dismantle FSCD, a system people used to move here for, as well as our health care and public education. We need federal oversight.
disabled children and their families are on years long waitlists to access FSCD support. AISH recipients are getting their paltry $200CAD per month from the federal gov't clawed back by Alberta.
The UCP has authorized a maximum spend of $900 million dollars to the Alberta Petroleum Marketing Commission for hydrocarbon marketing activities.

I know people who aren't parents of disabled kids are oblivious to this stuff so I want to keep shouting it from the rooftops: my applications for FSCD for my kids have been sitting unprocessed for several months. I'm a working single parent and can't send my kids to daycare without FSCD.

He made it so the FSCD ministry was going over contracts for families who have children with disabilities and started denying funding, even basic respite. He started the wait list of 20,000 families & kicked agencies like the ones I worked for to the curb, said weren't there to provide us with work.

This is BS. I manage a Facebook group that has 3000 people on it regarding the PDD, FSCD, and AISH programs. There’s a 3% fraud rate in these programs. So you’re going to punish an entire community for what less than 3% has actually done? Nonsense. Also, it’s a myth that Alberta is higher.
