Never Left Without Goodbyes (3/3)

No time for mourning.

#gpose #gposers #eutris #FallenheartAdventures
A block of electrope lies where Eutrope stood, revealing that she was just a simulacrum all this time. Iris stands alone in silence, looking down at the electrope cube. She then turns to the Arcadion tower, resolve lighting a fire in her heart. "Wait for me, Eutrope. I'll come get you." The lights around her dim as Bahamut's aether starts to show, blue streaks of hair and bright red eyes illuminating the darkness. "And I'll burn everything that dares to try and stop me."

Never Left Without Goodbyes (2/3)

With a final exchange of words, lightning strikes and vanishes in a blink.

#gpose #gposers #eutris #FallenheartAdventures
Eutrope takes both of Iris' hands into her own to comfort her. "Iris... Thank you. Everything will be okay, I promise." With a solemn smile, Eutrope looks up. "I'll see you soon, okay? Go get 'em, lion." "Don't worry. Just make sure you cheer for me." Iris returns the smile, though sadder in her expression. Eutrope's form flickers into a ball of lightning aether, crackling and dissipating.

Never Left Without Goodbyes (1/3)

With the heavyweight rounds around the corner, it's time for Eutrope to go.

#gpose #gposers #eutris #FallenheartAdventures
Iris sitting against a wall, with Eutrope standing at her side. "So... it's time?" Iris asks. "Yeah, it is," Eutrope replies, arms folded. Iris stands up and looks at Eutrope with a sad expression. "You sure you can't stay a little longer? The heavyweight rounds are still a few weeks off..." Eutrope shakes her head. "Neyuni is still in there. I may have been able to escape temporarily, but I have to make sure my sister is okay. Not being able to take her with me remains my biggest regret."

Eutrope then pulls Iris into a hug, burying her face into her shoulder. "Iris, you don't have to forgive me, but... I'm sorry. Really. And I'll never lie to you ever again." Iris then returns the hug, her heart heavy. However, she accepts the apology. "... I love you, Eutrope. Please, never leave. Not without saying goodbye." With amends made, Eutrope smiles in earnest at Iris. "I promise. So... I'll need a place away from here, to wait things out until you start your heavyweight fights." Iris would never say no to someone she loves, and invites Eutrope to live with her. "You're always welcome to stay with Hilda and I in Ishgard. Come, we have all the time in the world."

The truth.

Eutrope begins to explain everything. "I... I'll confess. I saw you making moves, and I took advantage of it to get closer to you so it would make stealing your soul easier." "But over time, I realised I was beginning to love you properly. More and more. Being with you gave me the same feelings Retsarra did, and I... I couldn't follow through with my plan." "I was awake before they came to take me and Neyuni, so I created a simulacrum of electrope to take my place. They won't lay a finger on her while my decoy is intact." "I... I didn't want to leave without words for you, or Yaana or Retsarra. But... I didn't want to draw attention. Not while the president is watching." Eutrope then turns to face a crestfallen Iris, guilt in her heart.

Eutrope turns, about to walk away. She needs to leave before she gets caught in the open. "Iris, I don't have time for this-" Before Eutrope can leave, Iris asks the question that has been plaguing her since the Cruiserweight fights. "... Did you ever love me?" Eutrope stands still, stunned at Iris' question. After a moment of thought, Eutrope looks away. After everything, Iris deserves to know the truth.

#7.2spoilers #ffxiv #gpose #gposers #FallenheartAdventures #eutris
With a lunge, Iris manages to grab the arm of the one she was chasing. The one Iris saw was none other than Eutrope, who was thought to be in the President's captivity. Wearing a different jacket, she was planning to sneak out of Everkeep. In an outburst of emotion, Iris begins demanding answers. "So you feign getting kidnapped, just to slip away again without telling any of us?!" "No, you don't get to run off this time. Not until you answer my one question!" Iris isn't taking no for an answer.

Iris walks home after her brief chat with Retsarra, many thoughts still weighing heavily on her mind. Just before she goes home, however, Iris spots a familiar figure in the outskirts of Solution Nine. Unwilling to let words be unspoken, Iris pursues the figure. "Get back here!" As her quarry turns the corner, Iris isn't about to give up so easily.
