It appears to be a R32 monobloc with a hydronic fancoil. Even in the US, this thing solves almost zero problems other than perhaps the bill for the HVAC guy. It's also a very small heatpump. In the EU, an R290 minisplit could do the same job.

Ja, statt Fancoil nennt sich das auch Wärmepumpen-Konvektor.
Das ist wie eine Art "Heiz-/Kühlkörper" für eine Luft-Wasser-Wärmepumpe. Meistens sind die Dinger leise und damit schlafzimmertauglich, aber unbedingt darauf achten.

Ja, statt Fancoil nennt sich das auch Wärmepumpen-Konvektor.
Das ist wie eine Art "Heiz-/Kühlkörper" für eine Luft-Wasser-Wärmepumpe. Meistens sind die Dinger leise und damit schlafzimmertauglich, aber unbedingt darauf achten.

Interessant fand ich, dass @volkerquaschning.bsky.social letztlich zwei getrennte Anlagen zum Heizen und Kühlen gewählt hat. Ich tüftele gerade an einer Planung, wo eine zentrale Propan-Wärmepumpe zumindest 1-2 Zimmer per Fancoil und isolierten Wasserleitungen auch kühlen kann.

Si tienes aerotermia para calefacción tienes el mismo equipo para refrigeración, el único que puede ser más complicado es el suelo refrescante. Si instalas equipo nuevo metes un fancoil o te metes en obra y haces conductos y tienes ambas

Ja, derfor de skal kombineres med en blæser i en fancoil for hurtigere luftcirkulation. Så kan de nærmest sidde hvor de vil, og man behøver heller ikke køle vandet så meget, dvs. det er potentielt energibesparende (fraregnet energi til ventilation). Man skal dog stadig gardere sig mod kondensvand.

That's what we are doing - solar panels, batteries, air-source heat pump, radiators replaced with floor-standing fancoil units that can cool in summer and heat in winter. The biggest job is probably insulating the pipes so when they're running cold water the condensation doesn't rot the woodwork.

Separately we can look forward to greater heatwaves, so a reversing heat pump makes sense, but probably requires a passive house (and fancoil radiators) to be effective.

Goed artikel Martin en hier een voorbeeld van de Woonkamer met veel thermische massa (vloerverwarming) in rood en de werkkamer met een fancoil unit. Duidelijk te zien de SWW rond 13:00 en het afschakelen van de warmtepomp rond 5:00 vanmorgen.
