It feels more significant, but also like my plans &amp; aspirations for 2025 need to still be separate from – but compatible with – my smaller monthly goal setting. </p> <p>I feel like I say this every year, but I don’t love the whole idea of New Year’s Resolutions. However, I’m not particularly happy with the status quo, so I’m grabbing a couple of ideas I’ve used in years past and working them into how I’d like to go forward.</p> <p>The more involved stuff, I’ll save for a separate post, but the most basic is bringing back the idea of choosing a word for the year. I will try to take better care of my body, even if it’s only a little bit better. I will commit to regularly exercising my mind. Lastly, rather than spending a lot of energy on trying to live outside of my comfort zone, I’d prefer instead to expand the boundaries of my comfort zone – I’m not looking to get lost out there, but rather, reaching outside of it to pull in new things and see how they fit.</p> <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity"/> <h3 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">GAMING &amp; BLOGGING</h3> <p>I haven’t quite figured out exactly how I want to pare this down going forward, but I feel like I say a lot of the same things every month, and I want to do a little bit <strong><em>less</em></strong> of that without tossing out my goals that have been (mostly) doing what I want them to.</p> <h4 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">The Goals</h4> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Make at least <strong>8 posts</strong> in January 2024.</li> <li><strong>In Review</strong> &amp; <strong>Nerd Girl Goals</strong> to bookend the month.</li> <li>Post about one game from <strong>January 2024 Humble Choice.</strong></li> <li>Do the summary <strong>Humble Choice </strong>post.</li> <li>Make at least <strong>one Community Game Along</strong> post.</li> <li>Complete the monthly trading post goals in <strong>World of Warcraft</strong>. </li> <li>Play and write about <strong>at least one game purchased during December 2024</strong>.</li> <li><strong>Play at least 10 hours on the Steam Deck</strong>.</li> <li>Do the daily <strong><a href="https://64ordle.au/">Sexaginta-Quattuordle</a></strong>.</li> <li>Do the daily <strong><a href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/2333240/Logic_Town/">Logic Town</a></strong> challenge.</li> </ul> <h4 class="wp-block-heading has-text-align-center">Community Game-Along</h4> <p>The thing that has pushed me the most to try new (to me) things in gaming is the <strong><a href="https://mdiskplaylist.wixsite.com/communitygamealong">Community Game-Along</a></strong>.
