Farragut Films and Avalon Universe are proud to bring back a fan favorite... Dr. Angela Bishop, portrayed by DD Hatcher, makes her return in **#Farragut2024**! First introduced 16 years ago in _STARSHIP FARRAGUT ’s_ episode “A Rock and a Hard Place,” Dr. Bishop is a veteran gemologist and geologist — and a former acquaintance from Captain Carter’s past. Now reunited, the two embark on another mission where her expertise may be the key to saving the FARRAGUT crew. You can watch this film — originally released in two parts back in 2008 due to YouTube’s upload limitations at the time — right here: Part 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIEm8Pu9Y5o Part 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJzGhYY-syY **NEW PERKS** We’ve added two new perks — screen-used communicators from this weekend’s filming! These highly detailed, screen-accurate props are modeled after those seen in _Star Trek III: The Search for Spock_ , complete with working electronics. Crafted by Michael Bednar, who also created many of the props featured in _Starship Farragut_ and _Star Trek Continues_. Be sure to check out the PERKS section of our crowdfunder! #FarragutFilms #AvalonUniverse #Farragut2024 #StarshipFarragut

As we launched this fundraising campaign during the worst time of the year --- during the holiday season and didn't meet our goal --- we recently launched our 2nd crowdfunder, Farragut2024 – Take Two!  This 2nd fundraiser will help get the film to the finish line. The link is here if you wish to support or to share with your network of family and friends, and future progress updates will be posted there: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/farragut-2024-take-2#/ Over the weekend, the Farragut team worked on resetting our sets for the upcoming bridge film shoot.  We’re preparing for our final two film shoots to complete #Farragut2024. We’re close to finishing this film and our Director Josh Irwin is working with our Visual FX Supervisor Keith Hamilton on post-production of what’s already been shot.  We anticipate releasing the film this summer! #Farragut2024 #FarragutForward #FarragutFilms #StarTrek #fanfilm

Over the weekend, the Farragut team worked on resetting our sets for the upcoming bridge film shoot.  We’re preparing for our final two film shoots to complete #Farragut2024. Assuming you've seen #FarragutForward already, we have some nice enhancements in store for our anchor bridge set, so keep an eye out for it when you see the bridge scenes in #Farragut2024, to include not only our flagship Farragut but another movie-era ship (**hint below**). As we have 1/2 the film in the can, our Director Josh Irwin is working hard with our Visual FX Supervisor Keith Hamilton on post-production.  We anticipate releasing the film this summer! A future update will include an interview with Keith and like the rest of us, we're sure you'll be amazed by his visual effects talents. #Farragut2024 #FarragutForward #FarragutFilms #StarTrek #fanfilm

_**Please help our dear friend...**_ You know him from either his voiceover work on video games, 25 years of sports-casting the Washington Capitals hockey, or his acting work on FARRAGUT but Wes Johnson is also one of the greatest and kindest persons around. Wes recently filmed his scenes for the sequel to #FarragutForward (#Farragut2024) and shortly thereafter on Jan. 22, Wes volunteered to host a benefit event for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in Atlanta. He flew down and checked into his hotel room - but something happened and he didn’t make it out of the hotel. When he didn’t show up at the event, his wife Kim tried desperately to get in touch with him. It took hotel security to enter his room and discover him unconscious and barely alive. EMT crews struggled to find a pulse. Right now, Wes continues to battle for his life in an intensive care unit. Wes is an extraordinary person and if your life has ever been touched by him or his work, please show your gratitude towards his GoFundMe crowdfunder. Below are a few behind-the-scenes pictures of the recent film shoot with Wes. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Wes, Kim and their family on behalf of the entire FARRAGUT cast and crew.
