Reminder: Mike Love won't see your posts saying "they got the wrong Beach Boy," but your friends Blondie Chaplin, Ricky Fataar, David Marks, Bruce Johnston, and Al Jardine will

Happy birthday to Ricky Fataar, a.k.a. Stig O’Hara!

Fabulous gig from Bonnie Raitt, full of heart & soul.

Always nice to see Ricky Fataar too.

Neil Innes, John Halsey, and Ricky Fataar appeared on VH1 in 1996 to promote the release of The Rutles' Archeology album. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGfp...

Random Beach Boys “Sail On Sailor” trivia. The lead singer was Blondie Chaplin, during the short time he & Ricky Fataar were members. Chaplin later spent 15 years touring with the Stones as a vocalist & Fataar, among other credits, was Rutles guitarist Stig O’Hara #AT40

Ricky Fataar!

Ricky Fataar, who is Stig/George, played with the Beach Boys in the 70s and is Bonnie Raitt’s drummer

Specifically for @andrewhickey.500songs.com - I’m on a bill with Bonnie Raitt tonight and before I got kicked off the side of the stage by security I managed to get a terrible shot of Ricky Fataar

Looking forward to a lot of things about tonight's Neil Innes tribute, but being me the thing I'm *most* looking forward to is that Ricky Fataar is on the bill, the only living former actual Beach Boys member I've never yet seen play live.

Sadly of course Fataar was one of the four billed guests of about forty who didn't appear (understandable since they were mostly between sixtyish and eightyish) but still a great show.

Like just on the phone to a friend for 15 minutes, in which time he talked about his friends the Beach Boys, Keith Moon, Billy Joel, Rick Danko, Ricky Fataar, Harry Nilsson, Van Dyke Parks, Fred Armisen...

This catchy tune opens an underrated BB record, feat. the expanded seven man lineup, inc. Blondie Chaplin & Ricky Fataar.

I wanna go see her show just to experience Ricky Fataar on drums. Great musician.

Sadly Ricky Fataar, who was meant to be there, couldn't make it.

Pretty sure it was Eric Idle, Ricky Fataar, John Halsey and Neil Innes.

This brought me to some too rare footage of the band Carl put together in the early 1970s, when Blondie Chaplin and Ricky Fataar of Flame joined the BBs. These guys were on fire, and this is proof of it. So much for the clean, white band Rolling Stone loved to hate. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uS6m...

Blondie Chaplin and the Fataar brothers recorded "The Flame" under supervision of Carl Wilson and it was released on The Beach Boys' own label Brother Records in 1970. This is the 1971 UK Stateside release.
