Το Reap and Rush είναι ένα action roguelite που προσπαθεί να συνδυάσει γρήγορο combat με ένα αρκετά βαθύ σύστημα ανάπτυξης χαρακτήρων και δημιουργίας builds. Στην επιφάνεια, η βασική ιδέα είναι αρκετά ξεκάθαρη: μπαίνεις σε επικίνδυνες περιοχές, αντιμετωπίζεις spirits και άλλες υπερφυσικές οντότητες, συλλέγεις loot και προσπαθείς να κάνεις τον χαρακτήρα σου ολοένα και πιο δυνατό. Ωστόσο, όσο περισσότερο ασχολείσαι με τα συστήματά του, τόσο περισσότερο γίνεται φανερό ότι το πραγματικό ενδιαφέρον βρίσκεται στους συνδυασμούς που μπορείς να δημιουργήσεις.

Wasn't expecting the dancer to actually have a dancing scene. And the Minstrel likes it so much, he gifts her... a Fatestone?! Sif had to run HARD quests to get Fatestones! 🤬 #RomacningSaGa #MinstrelSong #jrpg #retrogaming #SaGa

The game progresses by getting into battle encounters and sidequests start to open up, but you won't know WHEN so you just have to check towns every now and then. Also, dungeons have an insane amount of enemies, it's more like testing your patience rather than not dying (most of the time.)

And when you do find one- well, it's a decent piece of gear, but nothing special. Near the end, you meet a god, who laments that the fatestones he created caused so much trouble, and I was immediately like "WTF?! I think your all-seeing eye needs glasses, divine one. Those rocks don't do shit."

The Fatestones, in particular, are a huge letdown. They're built up as incredibly powerful objects, crafted by God and used by heroes to defeat evil in the backstory. But in-game, they never actually DO anything.
