A screenshot from the video my son recorded in 2020 of me stringing my dad’s tennis racquet on his prized old Serrano stringing machine, which I had refurbished. In October of 2020, I finished restoring my dad’s prized Serrano stringing machine, which had become rusty during thirty years of storage. I asked my son to film a two minute video of me stringing my dad’s old Head Master tennis racquet, a homage to my dad, who taught me to string racquets and play tennis before he passed away when I was just twelve years old. At 1:27 of the recording, our dog Landon joins us, with his tennis ball, and at 1:37 a beam of light (sun) shines down from the sky onto the chair next to me until the end as I raised a glass to my dad. We didn’t notice the ray of light until rewatching the video. It was an emotional moment.
