#BatTeam #FaveBat Dana Blouin manages the bat team (very patiently I might add!). Her favourite bat is the Silver-haired Bat because it is so photogenic! They are very pretty bats - and expressive too. In 2024, our director published a paper on how this bat sings! 🦇🌎🧪🦊

Image is a close up of a Silver-haired Bat sitting on bark. Bat is dark brown with frosted white tips. Ears are rounded and a big dark eye looks out intently. The muzzle is bare and nose is tipped up slightly, mouth is closed. You can see the wings (folded) resting on the bark. Photo by Jason Headley. Inset image is Dana Blouin our program administrator-organizer-herder-of-cats. Dana says Silver-haired Bats are her favourite because they are so photogenic! (and we agree) Logo WCS Canada Western Bat Program - complete with a green W with a Hoary Bat inset.
