My favorite finds of the past year for #wildflowerhour. I discovered so many lovely flowers with the cutest names, like ivy-leaved toadflax, tufted vetch and catsfoot! 💜 #favoritefind
Closeup of ivy-leaved toadflax with a focus on one of the tiny lilac flowers. It has two white cushion shaped parts in the middle with two yellow spots looking like eyes. The three lower lobes of the flower are spreading while the two upper ones stand up like bunny ears, with rounded ends and dark purple lines. Below on the narrow reddish stem there’s a small, heart-shaped, ivy-like green leaf. Soft focus shot of tufted vetch in dappled sunlight. It has delicate tufts of cascading pea-shaped violet-purple flowers growing one-sided from a slanted stem. Softly blurred narrow oblong green leaves are visible behind it in the background. Closeup of two tiny flowers of ground-ivy or catsfoot. They are symmetrical, funnel shaped, bluish-violet flowers with a hairy magenta interior. On the right side of the frame a leaves with round-toothed edges and a blurred stem are visible.

This has to be my #favoritefind because it popped up in my garden some time in July and has weathered the gale last week very well. Two flowers so far, more to come.

Great mullein for #wildflowerhour
Tall plant with wide furry green leaves and a spike of buds. One bright yellow flower is visible.

Saltwort at Snettisham beach. As we haven’t noticed this one before, it has to be our #favoritefind at least for this week. Such tiny flowers. #WildflowerHour
