The portrait of Doug Hovan of Jet Boy along with the beginning of the portrait of James Craig Paylor - guitarist of Hell on Wheels. Going to stare at it for awhile to see if it's done. #figurativepainting #Painting #AlamedaArt #Painter #Painters #Artist #Art #artwork #DougHovan #JetBoy #Featherwitch

I went ahead and darkened some more of the background. Leaving the white behind him just to keep him popping forward. Darkened the amps on the right side more. #figurativepainting #Painting #AlamedaArt #Painter #Painters #Artist #Art #artwork #DougHovan #JetBoy #Featherwitch

Still trying to figure out how much of the background I want to fill in. The white makes the colors jump.

Starting to map in all the reflections and sparkles on the second tom. It's really hard to figure out what all the drum hardware is doing, so I'm simply painting the light as I see it. #figurativepainting #Painting #AlamedaArt #Painter #Painters #Artist #Art #artwork #DougHovan #JetBoy #Featherwitch
