G-MODE ha ufficialmente annunciato l’arrivo di Ridge Racer all’interno della collana G-MODE Archives+. Questa particolare versione del leggendario gioco di corse 3D non è un porting del classico da sala, bensì la riproposizione fedele dello storico titolo sviluppato in passato per i cellulari giapponesi a conchiglia (i feature phone antecedenti all’era degli smartphone). Il gioco debutterà su Nintendo Switch (tramite Nintendo eShop) il 3 settembre in Giappone, mentre la versione PC (via Steam) arriverà in tutto il mondo il successivo 16 settembre. Di seguito tutti i dettagli ufficiali diffusi dal publisher: Caratteristiche e modalità di gioco Controlli ottimizzati: Il gameplay originale per cellulari a conchiglia è stato ottimizzato e adattato per i sistemi moderni. Quattro modalità di difficoltà: I giocatori potranno cimentarsi nei livelli Principiante, Intermedio e Avanzato, a cui si aggiunge la modalità Time Trial. Sfide a tempo (Time Trial): Questa modalità permette di affrontare un’auto rivale in un testa a testa uno contro uno per limare i propri record sul giro. Parco auto: Saranno incluse quattro vetture distinte, ciascuna con le proprie caratteristiche di performance (come modelli focalizzati sull’accelerazione) e diverse decalcomanie estetiche tra cui scegliere. Drifting iconico: Il sistema di gioco mantiene intatto il feeling dei spettacolari e fulminei traversi in curva che hanno reso celebre il franchise. Note sulla fedeltà dell’edizione Il publisher ci tiene a specificare che questa riedizione punta alla massima fedeltà storica.
