One hidden plus of Fenri being so big is that when Ber gives him a family hug the animation is better lined up lol.

Fenri and Shawn have a jokester dynamic. Fenri also respects Shawn but it isn't laced with that bit of fear he has towards Ber, who can be very intimidating when displeased. Ber and Fenri are more alpha leader and cub. With Shawn its more friendly, like brothers. He loves them both though.
