Rax looked over and smiled. “I hope so. This took a little doing – the weave required five separate patterns of aetheric knots, and I just have to hope I got them all right.” “I’m sure you did. It looks like it’d split a human in half just by pointing it at them.” “That’s kind of the idea – in addition to being a blade, it blasts energy waves to disrupt the electrical fields in a human brain, basically turning them into meat before they hit the ground. But if that doesn’t work, it’s still a pretty damn good sword.” Fenrick hefted it, the weight finely balanced, the dragonsteel perfectly forged, shimmering with energy that crackled in colors no human eye could see.
