Amazing to think these ferryboats were built in 1977 with Lycoming TF35 gas turbines, also used on OV-1 broncos, AH-1 Cobras and UH-1 "Hueys". They were repowered w/ Detroit diesels in 2001.

When I first moved to Barcelona in June of 2003, we went to the Island called Mallorca in August in one of the ferry boats owned by the company Balearia. This is a newer boat but I'm sure it holds around a thousand people and 100 vehicles. #ferryboats #portofbarcelona #photography
