Today marks the start of 3th Preparatory Committee for the #FfD4. We welcome the UN proposal for an intergovernmental debt process - but it must include a binding framework for fair & responsible lending, debt cancellation & a multilateral workout mechanism #CSOs4SystemicReform #FfDChronicle

Schuldenprozess - aber es braucht verbindlichen Rahmen für faire & verantwortungsvolle Kreditvergabe, Schuldenerlass & multilateralen Abwicklungsmechanismus! #CSOs4SystemicReform #FfDChronicle

🗳️Countries are set to decide how decisions are made in the #UNTC drafting process. Instead of the usual simple majority, Global North countries may push for “consensus” (a de facto veto) or a qualified majority. More at the #FfDChronicle: bit.ly/3Em08H3
