Happy Saturday #bluesky. Here’s one of my favorite benign breast lesions in watercolor: Fibroadenoma. #pathsky #pathart #artsky #breastpath

the lump they found is just a fibroadenoma, which they want to keep an eye on but yeah BENIGN AND NO CANCER🎉

Good News Everyone!

My fibroadenoma is benign. It was very kind of them to phone me the same day. They even said "now you can rest easy tonight" 😅

Thank you ALL so much for well wishes and loving support 💖🥰
I'm going for a follow-up ultrasound this morning. I guess they're so spectacular that they want a better look 🙃

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. Wish me luck 🤞
Starting the day waiting at the hospital for a mammogram.

What a drag it is getting old..

Stares directly ahead in fibroadenoma that grew exponentially in four years

Has another realization when I remember that I only starting playing WoW intensely right after my fibroadenoma removal before anyone figured out that I don't metabolize codeine.

my fibroadenoma grew 6 mm in 6 months!!! (derogatory. get this thing OUT OF ME)

LRS: I had a benign fibroadenoma balloon from a spot smaller than an eraser to 6 cm that subsumed a nerve in a year and a half. COVID feeds cancer.

Stop trying to get COVID.

Biopsy results are benign. Breast lump is a fibroadenoma as expected from the scan, and it doesn't need removing.

Now to name it... 😛

had my consultation with a surgeon and she said i had a strong enough case to consider removing the fibroadenoma (which my friend and i now refer to as "greta the wannabe third boob), so greta's gotta go on september 11 (ominous)

When I was having my fibroadenoma biopsied, the doctor looked at me frankly and told me there were no prizes for suffering and that if I needed additional numbing, he was going to take the time to do that. I was taken aback, because that was so counter to the experience with most healthcare workers.

Hey Bluesky

Would you be so kind and send me some crossed fingers? 💕 Breast is hurting. Did palpation. Found something. Hopefully it’s only a fibroadenoma again but it sucks anyway. Will make an appointment tomorrow, it’s late here. I would rather be excited about the documentation with y’all :/

At least with my fibroadenoma everyone moved on establishing it was benign fairly quickly.

Personally, I deal with POTS, MCAS, and ME/CFS- part of a triad of postviral diseases that often come with their own sub-issues like GERD and IBS. Long COVID also has further inhibited my immune system AND, as if this wasn’t fun enough, probably enabled the growth of my fibroadenoma.

Stay safe.
Dysautonomia is not fun. It’s just one of many shitty conditions you pick up with long COVID. Protect yourself and others, please.

Maybe Carrie's headaches are caused by the fibroadenoma caused by that car accident. Whoops! Wrong Rock Hudson/Jane Wyman/Douglas Sirk movie. A hazard of watching these back-to-back. #TCMParty

So many people showing up for us in ways that defy words, some pretty cool landlords, Brenda the fibroadenoma, Luigi Mangione, and sertraline.

It sort of laughs at the idea of summary.

CW: surgery, cancer mention, kinda gross

In July, I had an egg sized fibroadenoma removed from my breast. This tumor was incredibly painful but benign. We called it Brenda.

There were complications in the form of awful seromas. All has been quiet since August.

Until right now.

Te ibas a morir igual.

I found a lump in my breast in March & after multiple mammograms, ultrasounds & a biopsy am relieved to report that it's just a benign fibroadenoma.

*begins countdown to well-intentioned cis ally inevitably saying "welcome to womanhood!"*

Biopsy results back and it's just a fibroadenoma, and a relatively small one in the grand scheme of things - non cancerous and nothing to be concerned about. Nothing needs to be done at the moment, but if it continues to grow or becomes more problematic pain wise, they may look at removing it.

Good news: according to the doctor managing the ultrasound it doesn't look like the big C, and my other lumps in the previous ultrasound disappeared

Not so good news: it's a 4.4 cm fibroadenoma that is recommended to be extracted 🙃

Talked to the pathologist now who confirmed the calcifications are benign, and there's a fibroadenoma they are not worried about. So glad this biopsy is done, 18 months of serial mammograms is really stressful.

Ladies: make sure to get your yearly screening mammograms. They might save you life!

At age 19 I found a lump in my breast that was diagnosed to be fibroadenoma. Completely benign. I was kicked off my parents’ health insurance by 23, and then I couldn’t afford the premiums health insurers offered for those with “pre-existing conditions.” I had no health insurance until my 30s.
Anyone born after, say, 1995, likely has no idea or memory of how health insurers used “preexisting conditions” to charge people more then deny them care. People need to be reminded and informed that EVERYTHING was a preexisting condition.

EG: Have a uterus? You have a preexisting condition.
