FigDish album, Reminds me of early Soul Asylum and Husker Du and that’s high praise from a Minnesotan.

How did I not know there was a FigDish album on Bandcamp? I wanna cry in disbelief and scream in joy all at once.

Oh this is a good one. Gonna think on it more but off the top of my head: Figdish, That’s What Love Songs Often Do; Ned’s Atomic Dustbin, Godfodder. Others come to mind but I don’t know if they’re at the appropriate level of obscurity for this prompt. Going to think of some more.
a poll idea that just popped into my head: since we've collectively been doing 90's nostalgia for awhile as a culture, what's your secret/stealth best 90's album? not something necessarily widely super critically beloved but is nonetheless great and defining for you?

Saw Ned’s in Philly in 1995, their second to last show ever, and my first real show. Still have the ticket stub it was unbelievable. They played with Letters to Cleo and a Chicago band called Figdish that I still love to this day. I met one of my best friends in the world that night.

Album Review: American Hi-Fi – “American Hi-Fi”
On February 27, 2001, rock band American Hi-Fi released its self-titled debut album. The band was formed by Stacy Jones, who had previously been a drummer for Letters To Cleo and Veruca Salt.  After teaching himself how to play guitar, Stacy recruited some friends to join: Drew Parsons (a bass player who had previously played with Tracy Bonham), Jamie Arentzen (guitarist who had been part of Sky Heroes), and Brian Nolan (drummer who was a former member of Figdish).
