#FilamentousAlgae and a #babyAnimal, a #waterStrider
#ALText: #StrongerTogether:)
I photographed some filamentous algae on a forest pond, drawn by the arrangement of the tiny strands—at once ordered and random—and by a surface-tension effect that made many of them look like chains of glowing pearls. A baby water strider also made its way into the frame; I only noticed it when I examined the photo more closely. The creature is light brown, still almost transparent, and has huge eyes. They say that all baby animals are cute. That certainly holds true for this little bug.
