it's funny that for all of starlight glimmer's extreme fandom controversy, the hypnosis kink community were eating like royalty from her inception right to the end. she basically trademarked the genre on fimfiction.

Happy coming out day!
I've "come out" formally twice, once on my FimFiction author's page, for Reasons. Mostly I just live like me and people can notice or not. :D The other was in the middle of a fight with my parents, when I came out as bisexual to make a point that whooshed anyway, but oh well.

Honestly, I am already embarrassed enough that I defended Bill Cosby on FIMFiction after his rape allegations first surfaced back in late 2014. Based on this video clip, both Michael Tracey and Matt Taibbi would have loved those very regrettable posts I did on that subject back then.

i love that My Little Dashie went from an untouchable fandom classic to so horrifically memed that it's become a parody genre unto itself. even the rainbow dash pixel-sprite on fimfiction makes fun of it.

fimfiction users when they see a remotely queer positive fanfiction
I wish AO3 didn’t spring up as /the/ fanfiction site because fanfiction.net and fimfiction are just two way better sites. I can find the genre I want, the ship I want; it’s just easy. Crossovers are entirely separated, it’s pretty blunt about what the story is about without even clicking it. Ugh

i don't know what's funnier: the fact that fimfiction has a uselessly non-descript "Fetish" tag or that, for reasons i cannot comprehend, stories featuring that tag suddenly quadrupled in 2018.

I’ve never been active on FiMFiction before, is anyone familiar with how it works? Is it worth it to post MLP writing there? I think it would be fun for it to be on the MLP-centered fanfic website, but with the nature of this fandom sometimes, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was… questionable

Hell yeah <3
(over on my poorly disguised account on fimfiction my life's work is to tell stories about Clover (not the trans one) and Star Swirl's troubled teacher-student relationship. They have lived in my head so vividly for so long and I will always love them both. I torture them a lot.)

I didn't even know about the FiMFiction post until maybe 6 hours after Redd slagged off on me, and I sure as hell am not defending anything they have to say, even when framed as a "joke".
Fuck me for giving a shit about attendees' safety at conventions, apparently.

I just went to the other site to see what this is about. Looks like some dumbass made a post on FiMFiction (now deleted) that amounted to an extremely distasteful, piss-poor excuse of a "joke". It's just as bad as all the racist & Nazi "jokes" MF attendees make, if not worse.

As far as the bigotry in animation circles is concerned, this is an old problem. I encountered it when I was a teenager and using a website called FIMFiction, which was a big one in the Brony community.
