It’s another #FinFriday! This morning I wore this pink tail from finfunmermaid.com, modified by me to add some chiffon bits at the ankles (to camouflage the bumps from my Linden straps) and tulle at the hips (as makeshift pectoral fins).

I’m running a little late for #FinFriday but I did have a good #mermaid swim this morning. (And yes, this is the same tail from last week.) I’m so lucky to have an aquatic center near me that allows monofins - I’ll be able to mermaid all winter long.

Yesterday was another #FinFriday at my local aquatic center. It was a tough week for me physically, so I opted for the ease and comfort of my Fin Skin and matching leggings from https://shopvancouvermermaid.com/

Happy #FinFriday - This was my first swim with the new silicone fin from @mertailor inside a tail. Today was a hard swim - it’s a struggle getting used to less propulsion, forcing myself to slow down, relax into the motion of a dolphin kick instead of trying to be a speed racer.

Happy #FinFriday ! Today was my first swim with my new silicone fin from @mertailor and I *love* it. You don’t get as much propulsion as you would with a hard fin, but you do get some - it’s a pretty easy adjustment.

The thing that made me happiest was discovering that I’ve been wrong about myself.
