I have been collecting snapshots of beautiful things as if I could build a bulwark of hope out of buds, and blossoms, and beauty.

As if pictures of life's persistence could inspire my own.

It's working.

So here's your beautiful reminder for today.

Image 1: A single, globe-shaped bud on a tall, slender stem. The bud is beginning to open revealing a cluster of dozens of tiny, green and purple petals shaped like closed tulips inside. The background is a green blur of out of focus garden grasses. Image 2: A single globe-shaped bud on a tall, slender stem. The bud outside leaves of the bud have fully fallen away and the tight cluster of tiny, green and purple petals shaped like closed tulips are beginning to stretch outward. The background is a green blur of out of focus garden grasses. Image 3: A single globe-shaped flower is blossoming on a tall, slender stem. The flower is made of up of dozens of purple petals shaped like closed tulips. Some of the petals on the outside edge are beginning to unfurl, revealing tiny, star shaped flowers. The background is a green blur of out of focus garden grasses. Image 4: A bright purple, globe-shaped flower is blossoming on a tall, slender stem at the center of the image. The flower is made of up of dozens of tiny, star shaped petals shooting from the center of the globe on their own long stem. The background is a green blur of out of focus garden grasses. Five more of the purple globe flowers are staggered in a line behind the one in focus. The rough edge of large river rocks lines the right edge of the garden and the image.
