Draft Day Sports: College Football 27 FirstAccess is available now, giving players an early look at the latest version while also giving the developers valuable community feedback ahead of the full release. Like previous entries, the game puts players in charge of every part of running a college football program. That includes hiring coaches, recruiting talent, managing the transfer portal, developing players, creating game plans and competing for conference championships and a shot at the national title. Every decision carries over from season to season, whether it’s finding recruits that fit your system or turning them into All-Americans and NFL prospects. Recruiting sees some of the biggest improvements this year. NIL now plays a much larger role, with players managing budgets, making competitive offers and trying to convince top recruits to commit. Recruiting conversations have been expanded, team fit analysis has been improved and AI-controlled schools do a better job of competing for talent. Outside of recruiting, players can invest in facilities like stadiums, training centers and recruiting buildings to help grow their program. Coaching has also been expanded with custom plays and playbooks, smarter play-calling AI, deeper postgame analysis and opposing coaches that adjust to your tendencies throughout the season. Draft Day Sports: College Football 27 continues to focus on the long game, giving players full control over recruiting, staffing, scheduling, finances, scouting, player development, facilities and just about every other part of building a dynasty. Players can begin at a smaller school, climb the coaching ranks and eventually compete for the biggest jobs in college football. The game doesn’t include officially licensed schools or players, instead using a fictional college football world that’s highly customizable. Community-created mods will eventually be available for those looking for a different experience. Players who pre-order will receive their license key immediately, allowing them to jump into the beta builds right away. A seven-day free trial will also be available when the full game officially launches on August 17 with save progress carrying over for anyone who purchases afterward.
