I wrote a script that does this (pick from X options, make sure I have Y balance so I’m eating fish at the approved level etc, generate grocery list I can paste into my shopping list app) and (a) it took little time and no AI and (b) I’m not making someone else’s recipes.

My wife and I automated our meal planning with AI.

There are parameters of what works for us and our kid, what food exposures we want, macros, etc. It then crawls the stop & shop site to add items for a pick-up order and writes up daily recipes for a week.
