I’m missing my Dad because today is his birthday & he’s probably salmon fishing in a skiff in the great beyond. Here’s a poem he wrote. I was a good influence on him!
He lived with me at our Fishcamp for almost 10 years!

One of the last times I picked spruce tips with my elder Dad. He’d go out with me every year. 🌲 I took care of him for almost TEN years! My fishcamp was his old folks home. I was the chef & activities director & more!!!!

Bald eagle screechy “good morning” excitement! 🦅 It’s a younger eagle visiting my fishcamp. I couldn’t see it because of the morning sun glare but you can hear it. Bald eagles love to sit in this tree behind our cabin.

My daughter is having a brain tumor removed this morning in Seattle so here’s a pic of the Pacific Ocean’s Inside Passage in front of my fishcamp. I’ll be spending time staring at this while waiting for updates.

The last time my Dad went & got our Christmas tree—2022, about 9 mos before he died. He lived with me at my fishcamp & I was his caretaker for TEN years!

Kéet, my killer whale doggy, died yesterday. 🌈 Kéet is the Lingít name for killer whale (orca). She was ten years old & got very sick recently. We are very sad but have sooooo many good memories with her. Kéet sure loved her Fishcamp life!

This doggy snuggles with me all night & then as much as she can during the day. Ada was a stray rescued from the streets of Nome Alaska. This will be her 3rd year with us at the Fishcamp.
