Hi! This spring I ran over my first fixie, a Schwin Madison, it was a stupid mistake. I put it in my shed and tried not to think about it. It was my perfect bike and I rode the shit out of it. Is an old steel bike frame fixable? Or am I making a lamp. Pic from before I bent it.

I don't get why Dutch bikes have such a good reputation, like sure I guess a country with so many cyclists probably builds decent bikes, but also the Netherlands are so flat a granite-framed fixie would be a good bike.

i've done like 5 tube swaps and the wheel is kinda fucky so it's time for a new one

apparently there is another fatality from 15th and M NW. A few weeks ago someone on a fixie ran a red and collided with an e-bikeshare rider. The e-bikeshare rider has now died.

Fair. I've never really done mountain biking, I rode a track bike downhill at a hair over 64kph once, but on flat I think when I was at my peak I used to cap out around 53kph with 40kph being a kind of sustained 10 mile pace if I was really going hard on time trialling with the fixie.
