So they arrived.

I gave them a quick makeover using scrap model parts and superglue.

And of course, the dog-themed mech.
Body and legs from Battletech (legs extended by adding thighs), arms from Station Forge, and head from GW.

A pale blue mech with a non-human torso, long digitigrade legs, and a dog head. View from the left, fully showing the legs and the head. The left hand is holding a pistol. View from the back, slightly blurry. View from the right.

This one is intended to represent the people behind this wall.

Simple kitbash, using a 3d printed Battletech figure and resin cast Infinity arms.
Tiny people next to it, are way more converted (I sculpted capes on two of them).

#miniaturepainting #flamesoforion
A black mech with a glowing red sword. It has reverse knees, no head, and two cannons embedded into its shoulders. It has tiny glowing bits all around. There is a concrete wall behind it, and a base with super-tiny figures wearing black. View from the back. In the other hand, it holds an appropriately-sized rifle.

"Story I heard was big brains in R&D actually did warn em fucking with viral combat stims would end up bad but Kowalski himself told em further testing wouldn't pay shareholders. Kinda glad those things did what they did to him."

I painted a lot of kitbashes for mecha games this year (Battletech, Flames of Orion, Lancer RPG, etc.) and these are my favorites from the year. Art and artist!

Schlossbauer does some great monsters. I scaled up this "Castlevania Dracula Second Form" beastie to use as an abomination for BattleTech: Gothic. That MOC Wasp has no idea how hosed she is!

Hrímnir is a modified CGR-1P5 Charger from the Coreward Deep Periphery that I originally kitbashed with BT: Gothic in mind. Instead, I went in a viking direction. Parts are mostly from Locust Labs and Wolk.

The Jagermech is another classic introtech mech that I would love to see get the Battletech: Gothic treatment. Taking cues mostly from the gothic Rifleman, I kitbashed one, leaning into RACs instead of the usual loadout.

Even though they don’t seem to exist in the BattleTech: Gothic AU, I decided to make and paint my Atlas from the box set up as an elite unit in Magistracy Cavaliers livery so I can use it in standard BattleTech.

BattleTech: Gothic didn’t come with a Warhammer, so I kitbashed my own, taking design cues from the Marauder and Rifleman. Does that make this my Warhammer 40K?
