With my recuperating im rewatching my movie collection. Some of these I don’t recall owning (may have been gifts) watching “Flashdance“ and reminded how so many 80’s movies feel like Hallmark or Lifetime tv movies.

In 1983, Alex (Jennifer Beals) in Flashdance made women welding a whole new level of fucking HOT. 🔥
A welder by day, dancer by night, living in a warehouse loft with a pit doggy
More than 40 years later, we’re finally seeing badass women stepping into welding including one working in NASCAR.

WUSD is now seeking directing, music, choreography, technical, set, costume & other personnel for the replacement musical.
That’s the distinction. The calendar slot survived. The production organization did not.

Edited for high school, approved by the principal, but still the superintendent shut down "Flashdance" at Watertown High in Wisconsin. Part 2 (of 3) in my series "It's School Theatre Censorship Season." Please read and share.

The same superintendent left his interim gig in Manitowoc less than 2 weeks before the start of a new school year and has now banned 2 musicals that had been approved by everyone except him, including a version of Flashdance.

Sometimes you just need to ask yourself "What would Flashdance be like if all the dancers were getting murdered and it also didn't make much sense?" If you're Fulci, you then answer that question by making Murder-Rock: Dancing Death!

Un tiers de la Trilogie d'Oslo et je crois que je vais faire un passe sur les deux autres tiers parce que c'est vraiment pas mon cinéma à moi. Totalement d'accord avec la mamie poétesse sur Flashdance though.
Ours d'or du meilleur audiobook. C'est 5/10.
