Wizards pushed so hard to make Jace the face of Magic but no one was interested. I think they wanted Loot to be a more likeable mascot but they fucked that up as soon as they gave the people Fleem.

I only drafted this set cuz you need to draft once for Arena's monthly limited rewards & there was that Fleem promotion, & I wanted to signal as best I could my disapproval of UB & the cash-grab/slapdash nature of this set, & my preference for at least UW versions of UB cards. This set was so ugly.

MagicCon Amsterdam! Lots of little moments throughout the weekend that added up to a fantastic experience - "winning" a 40-player Grand Melee, meeting the artist of one of my fave cards, gossiping with cosplayers, Mabel plush swordfight, frantic puzzle solving, photo with Fleem... What a good time!
