1 bundle = 12 rags
1 rag = 1 unit of thread
fletching an arrow uses 1 unit of thread
fitting an arrowhead to that uses 2 units of thread
repairing a broken arrow uses 2 units of thread, successful or not
at lvl 2 archery the repair success rate is 42.5%

The Bitzenberger jig is a game-changer for fletching arrows, allowing for precise vane placement. While having multiple jigs is convenient, it can complicate repairs. Cutting off and re-fletching all vanes ensures consistency when a jig's calibration is uncertain. #archery #fletching

CA glue types range from thin to gel, useful for arrow fletching. Accelerants speed adhesion, and jigs like the Bitzenberger ensure accuracy for both traditional and compound bows. Different bows require distinct fletching techniques. #archery #fletching

Related: speaking as an archer whose nerdiness extends to making, straightening, and fletching my own cedar shaft arrows, it is DEEPLY secondhand-embarrassing to see the Nazi-looking eagle holding all arrows with no olive branch behind chinless middle-aged Eddie Munster there.

I'd like for it to be thematic in terms of design, but I'd like to see the three main crafter/gatherer skills working in tandem. Woodcutting/mining/fishing with fletching/smithing/cooking

Archery bow tuning starts with eyeballing the arrow rest. Then it's bare shaft tuning, paper tear tests, and checking fletching and spine. Small adjustments make a big difference. #archery #bowhunting
