I've written up some thoughts about AC, first time in years I've felt like doing a little "journal" post-con. In summary, overall it was a really magical experience, one of my all-time favourite con experiences and affirmed why I love this fandom so much.

AnthroCon 2024
Well that was certainly an experience. AC '24 was my first Anthrocon and my third US con in total (many more to come I hope!). In the past I've quite often brushed off AC as a furry holiday destinati...

I've finally played Sonic '06 myself for the first time ever and after now completing it the other day, I have put down some Thoughts in case anyone's interested.

cohost.org/FlintFox/pos...
I played Sonic 06 for the first time and I had a good* time
That's definitely good with an asterisk, though. I almost completely blanked on the PS360 era of console gaming. By that point I had moved countries and lived on very limited money while I going thro...

Jotted some thoughts down on Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen, now that I'm finally trying to get this series re-playthrough on the move.

Thoughts on: Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen
Starting the Legacy of Kain series re-playthrough with a game I hadn't actually played before.

The universe has a comedic timing, it picked Kurrel the Raven's classic The Furry Album as my revisit of the week - an album I tend to spin around this time of year when preparing for CFz - and now even when I'm not going there!

cohost.org/FlintFox/pos...
Revisit of the Week 21|24: Kurrel the Raven - The Furry Album (2009)
Ah, the sheer irony of the RNG throwing me this for a week when everyone's going to Confuzzled except me. This one's going to be a slightly longer article (whoops) than my usual revisit rambles - it ...

The weekly revisits return! Despite the fact that I've got a stack of music still to go through from my US trip, I'm back on my weekly random dives into my collection & the ad hoc rambles that I now write. For this past week it's been The Cranberries' No Need to Argue

Time for another weekly album revisit ramble and this time it's Sufjan's 2001 madcap bundle of electro-orchestral instrumentals, Enjoy Your Rabbit.

cohost.org/FlintFox/pos...
Revisit of the Week 30|24: Sufjan Stevens - Enjoy Your Rabbit (2001)
When Sufjan dropped his post-apocalyptic breakdown-come-rave electro-freakout (and arguable masterpiece) The Age of Adz, I remember blogs and forums filling up with so much surprise, shock and chatter...

Completed Mouse P.I. and jotted some thoughts down. Overall, the aesthetic is obviously excellent but there's a real good retro FPS ca-1996/1997 running underneath the inkblot look. Really enjoyed both the looks and the gameplay across the surprisingly extensive length

FlintFox's review of Mouse: P.I. For Hire | Backloggd
First things first, the Gimmick: Mouse P.I. looks great. The inkblot style has been lovingly brought to life in an environment that ultimately defies its very dimensions, and it's clear the developers...

Revisit of the Week 19|24: Various Artists - Strum & Thrum: The American Jangle Underground 1983-1987 (2020)
There's something really exciting about a good various artists album. A barrage of different names, voices and styles one after another can be a thrilling journey full of unexpected surprises, like ho...

Revisit of the Week 32|24: The 2 Bears - The Night Is Young (2014)

I've been replaying the GBA Sonic games & the sprites in them have flooded me with memories of recoloured fan character sprite sheets from the old Sonic forum days. So I unearthed some ancient art I still had hoarded around & posted a little tribute to my old recolour OC.

Ode to my old recoloured self
Regular readers may know that I have recently been playing the GBA Sonic games; after having enough of the first two Advance games I've now moved onto the third one (my first time playing this!), then...

My weekly release to revisit has been Delays' last album, 2010's Star Tiger Star Ariel. Some ad hod rambling thoughts in the link below.

cohost.org/FlintFox/pos...
Revisit of the Week 34|24: Delays - Star Tiger Star Ariel (2010)
Delays had a good start. There was plenty of buzz around them when they first started: the 'Other Music' section of the Manics forum I used to frequent had a small but fervorous Delays fanbase that we...

It's time for another weekly revisit ramble, and this week it's been the Nick Drake's Bryter Layter.

cohost.org/FlintFox/pos...
Revisit of the Week 33|24: Nick Drake - Bryter Layer (1970)
That's right, I do own music that was created before the 1990s - the RNG just doesn't want me to talk about it! The English folk musician Nick Drake only ever released three proper albums during his ...

Revisit of the Week 31|24: Bloc Party - Intimacy (2008)

Revisit of the Week 26|24: Cherry Ghost - Thirst for Romance (2007)

My weekly revisit album has been Hot Chip's One Life Stand, and it comes with my usual weekly off-the-cuff thoughts around what the album represents for the band, how I got along with it at first vs now, and a minor insight into what plays in my head while I'm fursuiting.

cohost.org/FlintFox/pos...
Revisit of the Week 24|24: Hot Chip - One Life Stand (2010)
