If all this is true, is there any chance there's a former Governor of Florida who's about to pop out of the Everglades and help us take them down?

Humans bring non-native animals across continents and oceans for their own selfish reasons and then have the nerve to call the animals “invasive species”? The exotic pet trade brought Burmese pythons to Florida and now they threaten the Everglades ecosystem.
HUMANS are the invasive species!!!
Humans brought rabbits to Australia. Humans released them. Humans transformed the landscape. Now rabbits are poisoned, shot, fumigated and infected with viruses for a crisis they did not create.
When Humans Introduce an Animal, Why Do We Blame the Animal?
Humans trafficked rabbits thousands of miles from where they belonged. Humans released them. Rabbits reproduced. And now rabbits are called the invaders.

‘Crown jewel’ of Everglades restoration is too small, report says
A sprawling reservoir at the heart of the $27 billion effort to restore Florida’s Everglades is unprecedented in size, but a new report suggests much more reservoir space is needed.

Florida, I hope you’re not waiting for the Trump to pay the bill for Alligator Alley.

ICE officials neither instructed Florida to open the facility in the middle of the Everglades nor entered into an “agreement or contract authorizing its operation as a federal immigration detention facility.”

The structure of the Sierra Club allows its chapters to take positions on issues. The Sierra Club's national office tried in vain to get them to back down. Should also mention the Florida Sierra Club backed the local chapter -- both ultimately took no position on the Everglades restoration bill
