Sam Prendergast, Player of the Match in the United Rugby Championship final up against a 2-time World Cup winning flyhalf.

Not bad, sir. Not bad.

French flyhalf-esque bullshit (complimentary, confused, want to be angry but can't, should be benched for it but won't be because it worked)
Isaiah Marshall should be jailed for that pass attempt (it was awesome) (but: jail)

I know an account that thinks Keith Wood is a better flyhalf than Ronan O’Gara
Keith Wood's kicking skills were OUTRAGEOUS for a hooker!

Always good to have a competent kicker in the pack.

Least punchable flyhalf Ireland's had for twenty years. Like him.

Rugby version is an oft-injured French flyhalf most often described as "mercurial"

Everybody wondering about which Leinster flyhalf hype train is coming to the fore next, while the truly discerning fan has been riding the rails on the JJ Express since September.
Have just been talking about this with @harpinonrugby.bsky.social. Really notable yesterday how often Kenny was one of the first in to clear a ruck.
the “double ruck” by Kenny is vital for that try. great effort, as O’Brien would have been stripped on that tackle. Good timing of pass by Prendergast too. #LEIvLAR

This was a weird one on Virgin Media. Looking at it you'd think Sam made 24 tackles and missed 8, when he actually attempted 16 and missed half.

This is from the same outlet who said Jack Crowley wouldn't make it as a test flyhalf last season kicking less than 85%

(Prendergast currently on 66%)

Baby Blacks flyhalf is Mika Muliaina, Mils Muliaina’s nephew

Damian McKenzie will start at flyhalf in place of injured Beauden Barrett in an All Blacks team changed in six places for the second Bledisloe Cup test against Australia.
New Zealand makes 6 changes, Australia 5 for the 2nd Bledisloe Cup test against Australia

I read a bit this morning with some proper handwringing over the "bile" Sam Prendergast might experience in Thomond Park later in December.

An opposition flyhalf on a rival team getting a bit of lip from the crowd? Oh no! Whatever next?!

Not sure if it will be seen as a compliment but Dan Biggar is the most South African northern hemisphere flyhalf of modern times. Would not be out of place of contemporary Bok teams.
I can't imagine that any other supporter of any other rugby nation would take issue with my following statement:

In the 2010s, Dan Biggar was by far and away the best Northern Hemisphere 10 to play the game

Matthieu Jalibert was absolutely levitating in the Champions Cup final. This might be the game that convinces me he’s the best flyhalf in the world right now.

You cannot overestimate the significance of Wales having a flyhalf on the pitch. Combined with Tomos Williams off the leash 🥵

HE COMPLETED 3 TACKLES 😭😭😭 oh my word flyhalf privilege is out of control.

If Glasgow's entire summer isn't dedicated to finding a competent flyhalf...

I love JJ - he’s the least “flyhalf trapped in a second row’s body” lock I’ve ever seen. Even amongst the Skelton/Meafou/RG giants he’s probably the least skilled.

I notice, like me, our young-and-up-and-coming Springbok flyhalf doesn’t sing the second part…the one that we sat down for if possible and didn’t sing since 1976 in protest against partheid.

There isn't a flyhalf alive they was fixing that Irish forward pack's issues

It feels amazing finally having a flyhalf they can do it all - we’ve waited for this for so long in South Africa 😭
