While there’s no question that 6-8 were basically the same toolkit & sprites, & Awakening brought us back to Archanea just with a different name so revisiting a place isn’t that out of the ordinary I guess I simply assumed Fodlan would be like Telius & stay a contained story. Since its open ended.

It’s so freaking good, in all variations too! There’s just something that’s special about it. I love a lot of baseline battle themes like Battle 1 in Octopath 1 or Fodlan Winds in Three Houses, but they tend to err on the more traditional fantasy side. Something this jazzy feels unique! I adore it.

Shez being a mediator is perfect it makes so much sense. Epimenides being the one to create them in their own way (not having the necessary resources like kunlun did) for Agartha's benefit. Agartha would have had its own mediator to counter Fodlan!

Yes! Whenever I can between train trips & flights so im slow. Currently on Theodora’s route and it rules, it’ll be a while before I get to the other lords. I do love bootleg Alucard’s route too - really good Fodlan lore in that one.

Truthfully, Robin didn't know if Fodlan as /he/ knew it had vihuelas. It was possible the instrument was only in Dagda. But it was also genuinely possible that Dagda by the time he knew of didn't have any players either.

thinking on this more. i might go with taguel having been initially created by the agarthans- thanks to fortune's weave we know they make... people. they might have been a step in trying to... reverse engineer manaketes? figure out how to turn into a rabbit first, then onto dragons??
