🌿 Bridge to Somewhere 🔆

Rated T | Balor/Farmer | M/M 1.6k | Mines Story Spoilers

#fieldsofmistria #fombalor #growinglight

Balor returns from fleeing to the Capital all of Fall praying the only thing cold he'll find is the weather.
Abandoning his post as quickly as he returned to it, Balor took to the woods. Perhaps the sound of the waterfall could ease a clouded mind, washing away everything that built up in his return. And empty it did as he approached the bridge and found it occupied. Sinclair stood leaned against the stone railing on his forearms, head hung down. Snow collected on the back of his head and made his hair look darker by comparison. He was back to simple clothing rather than the niceties Balor had glimpsed when he saw him in the Capital. A brown jacket, wool-lined, fit with a scarf to cover the rest of his neck. Even if he had wanted to leave, Balor couldn't. As if it were magic, he felt himself pulled step by step onto the bridge and up to the other man. When Sinclair didn't look up or even address his arrival, Balor turned and leaned against the railing. The cold pressed into his lower back, seeping through like blood from a wound. "I'm sorry."

🌿 'Til the Fire Burns Out 🔆

Rated T | Balor & OCs | Gen 5.5k | Mines Story Spoilers

#fieldsofmistria #fombalor #growinglight

After the farmer unlocks the fire seal and is nearly killed, Balor flees to the Capital only to be chased by the guilt in the form of the rest of the farmer's family.
Perhaps it was the coward's way out to leave in the witching hours of the night and not return. Cobblestone felt firm beneath Balor's feet as he walked out into the markets of the Capital on what was his fifth day there after leaving Mistria. Sinclair had nearly died from the scroll he had procured for him down in the depths of the mines. How he made it out, no one knew, but he did. Had Balor never given it to him, had it been another scroll from another source, maybe it wouldn't have happened to start with. Now he could be certain it would never happen again. Shoulders brushed his as people pushed around the plaza here and there with arms and sacks full of product. Usually, this sort of thing got a thrill running through him. Excitement to sell that which was coming at the highest quality out of Mistria to anyone that would stop and listen. They'd see the crops, the gems, all of it and Mistria would tick ever higher in the eyes of the King. Now, he felt alone. Adrift moving with the whims of the current made by those around him and simply allowed himself to be carried by it. A little too much as he ran into someone forcing them to stagger forward. His hand went out to catch their arm but he found it grasped hard without relent as the person glared at him.

🌿 Gold and the Rust 🔆

Rated G | Balor/Farmer | M/M 1.7k

#fieldsofmistria #fombalor #growinglight

Balor is NOT thinking about the farmer and who he took to the summit last night... and he DEFINITELY isn't hoping the answer is no one. Don't worry about it.
Balor ate, eyes trained to the door waiting for a specific soul to set foot through them. Sinclair had gone to his farm the evening before and as far as he knew, that's where he remained. The man could've very well taken the Narrows up to the pass and he would've never seen him go. There were many ways to travel around these parts. Who would he have taken? Why did Balor care? A pointed jab of his fork onto an empty plate rattled him from his thoughts back into the present and he found a weak smile of a mother who knew too much looking at him. Balor winced, picking up the plate and slid off his chair to take it to the counter.

🌿 Up Your Sleeve 🔆

Rated T | Balor/Farmer | M/M 2.2k

#fieldsofmistria #fombalor #growinglight

Sinclair plays cards with the locals and earns more than just a little coin.
"Another good hand? Can't possibly be that lucky… you got an ace up that sleeve of yours or what?" Balor asked, then moved without warning to grasp Sinclair's forearm. He moved up as if searching for the card, then slowed as he neared his elbow just shy of reaching to grab a handful of his bicep. "Clean, I guess." Sinclair stared at him, confusion and amusement mixing on his face. "What are you doing?" "Looking for the card," Balor defended with a weak laugh as he leaned back. His face bloomed with blush and his attention sharply returned to his own cards. "It was a joke… guess I'm bad at em' tonight. Sheesh."

Balor 💎

Guess who's playing Fields of Mistria again 👀 I've been torn between Balor and March but there's something about that loveable rogue energy of Balor that I can't resist 🤭 Plus that summer outfit is🔥

A stylized digital painting depicting Balor from Fields of Mistria. He is a tall, lean yet muscular man with shoulder length blue hair and maroon eyes. His lilac shirt is open with the sleeves rolled up revealing a few healed over scars across his chest and arms. He also wears deep blue pants with a maroon/pink patterned scarf tied around his waist. He is adorned with small silver hooped earrings, a long silver necklace, a silver ring and criss-crossed leather bracelets on both wrists. He appears to be walking along a beach on a warm summer day with the ocean waves crashing behind him.

I'd like to formally apologize to Balor, I like him now
him and Toriel would be pals

#fieldsofmistria #fom #fombalor #balor #fomfarmer
A digital drawing of Balor from Fields of Mistria and an original character named Toriel. The drawing has blue lineart, Toriel being colored fully green and Balor being colored fully blue. Toriel stands behind Balor with a pitiful sad cartoon expression. He is muscular, with messy straight hair and springy bangs sticking out of a bandana, and many arm scars and a goatee. He is rubbing the top of Balors head. Balor's expression is vague but neutral and he holds a steaming cup of tea. The text is highlighted in either green or blue depending on which character is speaking. The text reads: Toriel: "hey balor we're friends right" Balor: "Elaborate." Toriel: "if someone were to like, maybe, theoretically, accidentally maybe possibly accidentally have put something on sale, like, maybe-" (the rest of the text is covered) Balor: "I'm just the merchant, man." At the very end of the Balor speech bubble there is a doodle of a simple, bored but friendly expression. A messy sketch with blue lineart, of a character (Toriel) with messy hair and a bandana holding an incredibly stylised, silly and dumb looking cat. The cat looks like a pillow with eyes.
