The amount of food that is thrown away in the UK each week is simply unconscionable while so many in the country struggle with spiralling food costs.

That's why it was so great to visit FoodCycle in Bath & see how their work redistributing surplus food acts as a lifeline for many in poverty.

An estimated 12m tonnes of food is wasted each year in the UK – while 4 million people are affected by food poverty.

The amazing FoodCycle use this surplus, edible food to create nutritious three-course meals for those who need it, providing up to 150 meals a month to local people in Bath.

I’ve seen you post about cooking a few times and didn’t realise the context. I used to be a foodcycle volunteer in Cambridge, such a great organisation to be part of.
