This purple plant seems to be of the Ookow family. It has a globe like appearance and many little flowers coming out of it. I will correct it if someone corrects me.

The areas of Oregon's Willamette Valley that remain native prairie definitely have a fair share of wildflowers, as seen in tonight's 9 o'clock photo.

A purple flower growing in a grassy field. The flowers are a cluster, with only two of the multiple blooms open. The open flower that is most visible has 6 petals and a yellow center.
