#Franchisement
ff7 rebirth really was so bad that i don't even feel joy anymore when i see the ff7 characters. saw some fanart that 14 months ago i would have rted and just felt tired. its so indicative of the way constant franchisement diminishes joy, to me, even and especially as they spend more and more on it.

Repeal franchisement of Gen X men.

You want to just sometimes not fight tooth and nail for your humanization and franchisement.

Now imagine a story exists that not only lets you explore that headspace through the wonderful medium of fiction, but even lets you be the villain so you get to have a breather and let off some tension.

She wholeheartedly believes that the doctor moving up from simple international franchisement to building parks in mythical locations could be humanity's crowning achievement. She's really excited for the new park. The Doc's calling it "Newtrogic"
Hope that pans out for her

The franchisement of every entertainment property into an "extended universe" means we every possible lacuna in a story gets filled in for us. But that is not actually desirable! Part of how fantasy stories work is by giving us just enough for us to imagine more. You aren't meant to know everything.
Can't stress this enough: nobody fucking cares what he was up to

I have always found Dogma hilarious. I'm still not sure if it's satiric, prophetic, or both, but the way it manages to lampoon the franchisement of the Church while still conveying hope and a forward looking message has always stuck with me.

It's a shame it's stuck in bootleg purgatory.

I hope Vance raises felon franchisement at the VP debate and Waltz says, "Yes, in addition to every other American, I support your running mate's right to vote."
Is it the Trump campaign’s position that Donald Trump should not be allowed to vote?

The dismantlement would then lead to franchisement of not just Black communities in the US, but also in the global south, who are especially vulnerable. It's why Black liberation/empowerment groups and leaders pushed for international solidarity.

If you boil it down to Booth's likely goals--Confederate independence and/or preventing Black franchisement--then the assassination certainly failed to achieve the former. The second goal is, of course, more complicated

attention is just added stress. Reconciliation on ending medicaid and SNAP moved forward today and the first real step towards ending full citizenship and franchisement of women moved today. I really wanted to be healthy enough to physically fight when we reached this point of societal collapse

Although, the US constitution could have given voting rights to women from the day it was written. I wonder why the wealthy, powerful, white men who agreed the details didn't think of enshrining universal franchisement in the constitution

The United States is not now, and has *never* been, a democracy. Caste, apartheid, genocide, selective franchisement, and colonization are all antithetical to rule by people, and all have existed in the USA since day one.

Sorry, my point is that this post is specifically about people whose voting rights are being threatened voting for Trump. But men aren't threatened by this, so voting for Trump isn't voting against their interests, in terms of their own franchisement.

When people say violence isn't the answer, I like to ask which rights they think they got without it. Most franchisement was acquired via peaceful & violent activism. Labour rights have a bloody history. Even rights gained seemingly peacefully often came on the heels of deadly systemic oppression.

I have... opinions on the sort of weird forced franchisement/nostalgia for Avatar. Idk, if you ask me, its a series that genuinely should have been left be after Korra. Like, they made a show, then a decent sequel to that show... and that's it. You don't need to make more.

Nothing has changed, nor will, until WE CHANGE IT.
This is the way democracy ends. Not with a bang, but with a wide smile.

So...a Constitution and all amendments passed w/out the franchisement of women, Blacks and Native Americans can't be taken as the will of the people of the time?

#Gerrymandering exacerbates the divide. The GOP is happy to turn a 51% win into permanent #OnePartyRule. Plenty of southerners oppose the ongoing #CoupFromTheTop, but they are disenfranchised.

We repeatedly amended the constitution to guarantee #Franchisement, but the GOP is #PickingVoters.

that the teaser is all about endless, nonstop sequels makes me optimistic this is going to be pointed at franchisement as a concept and not just goofs like watching the movie you're in to figure out the next plot location

I want to do a reboot of the 1960s movie Nude on the Moon which is about how the nudist colony on the moon deals with the onslaught of corporate franchisement. One can't work at Starbucks unless they wear pants. And that doesn't go on the moon.

let’s make access truly universal, that’s what should be required—full adult franchisement, no registration, online access, plain language in folks’ preferred language, etc.

also, all ballots must include options of “none of the above”, abstain, or to leave it blank. but no *requirement* to vote.

The history of expanding democracy & franchisement he references throughout is discussed in "A People's History of the United States" by Howard Zinn - highly recommend, and it's available on @hoopladigital.bsky.social - which may be accessible for free with your local library card

The history of the FBI in this country they have aided in a bed white supremacy and systematically destroy successful black and brown people throughout their history so the Trump FBI and Justice department or just openly doing their races killings and this franchisement in open view with supremecour

This is why state disenfranchisement (/non-franchisement) of minorities is so bad.

It's not because they're small plastic models of Perfect Victims who signs hymns about non-violence as a steamroller runs over their bodies - it's because they're human beings and it'll obv lead to civil violence.
