It's the BeBoB bootloader mailbox, and the interesting part is it was never a secret: the addresses and all three opcodes came from FreeBoB (@wagi's bebob_dl_codes.h, (C) 2005). Nobody seems to have ever called them. 0x07 attaches the console, 0x09 stdin, 0x08 stdout.
