Frontex is complicit in this, as they willingly ignored the repeated calls from the NGO Solidaire and did not reply to our request for help finding two people who reportedly went overboard. We did not find these people. Instead, Frontex only replied to calls from Libyan militias.

The massive increase in Frontex funding was a Mette Fredriksen initiative. Denmark also disproportionately contributes to these financially.
