Starting the Super Metroid X-Fuison romhack and thinking: You know what, no matter how bad the gaming industry gets, at least we'll always have fans to thank for keeping our favorite games alive!
Fan remakes--Romhacks--Covers of the soundtracks, y'all are just the best.

It's funny, I don't feel this way about any game genre other than Metroidvania's--I didn't even play Super first out of the series, I had beaten Zero Mission, Return of Samus, Fuison AND all 3 Prime games before I even played Super.
Yet I still love Super the most.
It's just so good.

I'm not saying Super Metroid is the best in the genre for everyone, you can make good arguments that even Fuison and Dread are better--But, for me at least, nothing quite stands up to Super.
It's why I can't get into games like Hollow Knight or Ori, I just end up wanting to play Super again!

In the end, Other M both being a prequel to Fuison, following a similar plot to Fuison and Super, as well as it trying to be a movie more than a game--All hurt the game.
Just a few tweaks could've made it so much better--Imagine a scenario where Team Ninja gets to make another Metroid--

Adam was implied in Fuison to have died some time ago, yet Other M revealed that it JUST happened right before Fuison.
It'd make sense why she couldn't disobey orders.
Remove the Metroid plot, and show the Galactic Federation attempting to make some other weapon that needed destroyed.

It can take place in the timegap between Super and Fuison, likely before Other M--Or, is it gonna be even further in the timeline?
Sure, we don't SEE any remnants of the Fuison Suit, but who's to say her suit didn't become more, Power Suit like after Dread?
Who knows honestly.
I want the game!

Anyway, long story short--I was introduced to, and fell in love with the Metroid series thanks to Prime fairly young.
I emulated and beat Super, Zero Mission and Fuison, as well as got ahold of Metroid Prime 2 over the next few years.
Couldn't get a Wii till much later, so I missed Prime 3.

UK's TAILGUNNER release MIDNIGHT BLITZ on 6 Feb. This is Blade Runner inspired 'Tears in Rain,' a fuison of hard rock, a moody vibe, and 80s metal and NWOBHM, with big soaring vocals for the chorus and catchy, tense riffing.
